It is a testament to the ongoing and growing love affair with Chicago based collective Tortoise's music that it seems like only yesterday that they released the extraordinary Millions Now Living Will Never Die album.

In fact, it was released back in January of 1996, three years ago. But in the time that has passed since then, Tortoise have become synonymous with some of the most challenging and striking music to have emerged out of the US for as long as anyone can remember.

Constant references to "MNLWND", and their most recent release "TNT", as landmark albums, some rare but exceptionally fine and inspirational live performances, and a queue of admirers who willingly offered their services as remixers for the series of limited edition twelve inch singles have all led to the feeling that, whilst it has been more than three years since that influential release, Tortoise's place in peoples hearts has continued to grow and flourish.
