Stream LEXX remix of "How We Be"

    Aug 4, 2014

With just a month until the release of Sinkane’s new album Mean Love on Sept 1st, he has shared a remix of new single ‘How We Be’ courtesy of Swiss DJ, Lexx. Lexx brings a tropical, dubby vibe to the original track, which was applauded by London's Metro newspaper for it’s "addictive, Afro-funk grooviness with a contemporary electronic twist & silky vocals” and by NME for the "slinky bassline rumbling beneath his cool falsetto coos."

Sinkane has also put together a Spotify playlist to accompany new single 'How We Be', featuring wide-spanning inspirations from D'Angelo to Unwound to Blonde Redhead. Listen to it HERE.

Sylvan Esso was not meant to be a band. Rather, Amelia Meath had written a song called “Play It Right” and sung it with her trio Mountain Man. He did the obligatory remix, but he sensed  […] READ ON

Hauschka is a composer, songwriter and experimental musician who has brought an exciting new perspective to the prepared piano. The prepared piano – a technique for getting new sounds from the acoustic keyboard by resting pieces of paper or drumsticks on the strings of the instrument - has been used for centuries, but Hauschka was unaware of the tradition when he began exploring ways to get  […] READ ON
